Our Volunteers Make a difference

Owensville Branch

Owensville currently has about 4 active volunteers. Several of these volunteers are high school students who volunteer a couple of hours a week, primarily during the school year. Our volunteers help with our on-going Book Fair and special programs. Volunteers are also essential for shelving at Owensville. Cleaning toys, straightening shelves, picking up outside trash and craft preparation are a few of the other tasks with which volunteers assist us.

In the past couple of years our volunteers have purchased a slated wall display board in the foyer, a roll-away flannel board for storytimes and have helped fund the Summer Reading Program for the last two years. Ed Maphet has been volunteering at Owensville for years and can be regularly seen preparing the on-going Book Fair for patrons in the front area of the branch
